Memes through the season

Football memes (funny/mocking viral pictures) have continued to entertain fans through the ups and downs of this season. Here’s my top favorite football memes that sum up the season.

This is just a recap of this Wildcard weekend outcomes pictured above. (L’s are the losses).

in this past weekend, Cody Parkey is the scapegoat for the Chicago Bear’s lack of offensive scoring… This game resulted in a 16-15 loss to the Superbowl backup Nick Foles. Nick Foles success brings a strange sense of Deja Vu…

Another from the Chicago versus Philadelphia game. Just another one of Nick Foles Sunday miracles; crushing hopes left and right.

This meme came about when New Orleans went on their powerful 10 game win streak, and New Orleans went on a low streak of murders. Is there a correlation? Yes. Is there causation? Probably not, but not to count out that New Orleans might love football more than murder.

In Week 1 the Browns did not lose… but they didn’t win either so Cleveland fans all celebrated the tied game and most likely took the paper bags off their heads.

In the crazy high scoring game with Mahomes and the chiefs, and Goff and the Rams 13 touchdowns were made in one game. Aaaand the Buffalo Bills had only 13 touchdowns all season at this time. Your time will come, Buffalo… Maybe.

When Jon Gruden started trading players for draft picks left and right. Raiders fans continue to hope this pays off in a few years, but in the meantime enjoy this meme and ride the Gruden wave.

Cue the Matthew Stafford bootlickers; Maybe it’s his receievers, or his offense line, or his coach, or the refs. But we do know it’s never Stafford at fault.

Must include a Jason Garrett meme, if you watch closely he really claps whether its a first down, 15 yd penalty on the cowboys, a turnover, or a field goal. Coach Garrett could be clapping for both teams and the fans; watch closely in the upcoming playoff game.

This list is not complete without the infamous “Eli face”. What a season for all New York Giants fans; 5 wins, 11 losses and a copious amount of Eli memes.

Aaron Rodgers State Farm commercials were the most entertaining part of Greenbay’s season.

This is a visual representation of how Patriots fans explain all of New England’s losses.

After Lamar Jackson’s first ever playoff appearance, the jokes about his apparent butter fingers continue to follow close behind him.

Did we forget that Vontae Davis retired mid-way through a game?

Lastly, a fake quote from Sam Darnold explaining the interception problem he comes across.

Playoffs continue starting this Saturday with the Cowboys vs the LA Rams and the Colts play the KC Chiefs. On Sunday, the Chargers play the Patriots, and the Eagles play the Saints. Many more memes emerging after these playoff games and looking forward to the Superbowl memes to come.
