Currently, Dez Bryant is not on any roster in the NFL after the Dallas Cowboys booted him to the curb on the very sad day of Friday, April 13th. There is still irrelevant negativity from Cowboys fans after Bryant’s less than extravagant season. To the Cowboys extremists who still @ Dez on twitter: He’s a free agent now, let him tweet. Questions still remain if Dez is still THAT player, but there wasn’t much discussion in reference to his injury the previous season. Coming off an injury, Dez wasn’t given half a chance on behalf of Scott Linehan and Coach Garrett. After watching the Cowboys pitiful loss to Carolina, it was hard to not at least question what Dez Bryant could’ve caught during the game that Dallas rookies dropped. Cowboys defense was on point all game with an offense that only got moving in the 4th quarter. Sean Lee (LB) who is usually our unspoken defense player of the game, unusually struggled against Carolina, so brownie points to Demarcus Lawrence (DE) who really stepped up. Besides that, Dez can be counted on for two things 1) Those “he actually caught that inbounds?!” plays. And 2) The constant reminder of his presence via twitter. Even as a Cowboys fan, I will shamelessly stand by Dez Bryant on some of his twitter proclamations… he’s not totally crazy! After releasing Dez Bryant and Dan Bailey, the results were accurately predicted by about every logical analyst and commentators on television; Unfortunately Skip Bayless is not included in the “logical” bunch of analysts/commentators.

The Cowboys loss can be credited to new receivers, lack of Travis Frederick (praying for his best health), retirement of ole reliable Jason Witten (TE), loss of playmaker Dez Bryant (WR), release of golden Dan Bailey, and bad communication of plays. Let’s not leave out our biggest L component; Scott Linehan (Offensive coordinator) as a whole problem. If the Cowboys continue on this route, it’ll shape up to be maybe 8-8 and a possible wildcard spot in the playoffs. Let’s see if any major changes are made in the next few weeks that could change the imminent mediocrity. Especially with the $3.4 million dollar additional cap space from the loss of Dan Bailey. In all seriousness, @DezBryant keep tweeting, help keep us Cowboys fans preoccupied during this time of panic. And as a last rhetorical question to anyone even remotely involved in the Dallas Cowboys organization: Why did nobody stop this tragedy from happening?
