Josh Gordon is released by the browns and heads to New England. The Patriots were clearly looking to add some new talent after Danny Amendola’s relocation to the Miami Dolphins. Flash joining the Patriots will benefit the receiving group with the (obviously accurate) Tom Brady. Julian Edelman only has two games left of his suspension for use of performance enhancing drugs. I’m questioning how Edelman is going to be utilized on the receiving end because the addition of Josh Gordon from the Browns. It could be an even split of passes between the two, or there could be lesser use of Edelman if Gordan is simply putting up numbers.
Jameis Winston has one game from his suspension left until he will possibly make his return against the Chicago Bears. At this rate with Ryan Fitzpatrick’s rising stats, Winston should be scared of the Fitzmagic. The suspension really gave Fitzpatrick the upperhand over Winston. Desean Jackson (WR), in agreement stating, “…whoever got that hot fire shot, you got to keep shooting, man”. Next to his fire on the field, his fit has also been on fire via Desean Jackson pictured below. In accordance to the 2-0 winning start led by Fitzmagic, Jameis should feel himself on the hot seat as QB1.
Vontae Davis decided on retirement during a game… halfway through the game to be exact. The Bills are the new Browns and the Browns have finally been bumped up on the totem pole of atrocious franchises. That seemed like the biggest diss to the whole organization but Davis later explained there was no disrespect involved in this decision… That’s definitely up for the public’s interpretation. ![]()
Two teams with cringe-worthy kickers finally signed new players. The Minnesota Vikings acquired Dan Bailey and the Cleveland Browns signed a new kicker, Greg Joseph. Both teams had opportunities to win a game that relied heavily on the kicker during crunch time, and neither could get it done. Great moves for both teams to improve their offenses and avoid the embarrassment of thinking they’ve already won the game.
Fast forward to 1:01 to view the utter disappointment.
Antonio Brown threatens a trade via Twitter and doesn’t show up to Steeler’s facility on Monday. Brown later confirmed he does not plan on leaving the Steelers organization, but this tweet had fans buzzing for hours. This absence seems familiar as LeVeon Bell is still M.I.A or should I say he is in MIA partying while still in his current contract holdout. This is an extensive holdout for the contract and while I respect his persistence, will the Steeler’s organization actually give in?

Russell Wilson had his first pick-6 since the year 2012. It’s quite an impressive statement considering some of the “best” quarterbacks of all time like Dan Marino had 30 Pick-6 plays in his 17 season career. Wilson entering his 7th season in the NFL and could still put up record lows for Pick-6 plays with some changes to the Offensive line. A rough start to the season for the Seahawks with two close scoring games: Broncos 27-24, and Chicago Bears 24-17 both result in L’s. The responsibility falls on Wilson’s judgement calls and the Seahawk’s highly questionable offensive line. Wilson needs to be provided with more consistent protection in the pocket or he will continue to get hit and his interception/Pick-6 plays will increase.
In a surprising series of events, Brice Butler makes his return back to the big D for a another round of Dallas Cowboys Football. Butler was released from the Cowboys and signed a two year contract with the Arizona Cardinals on April 2nd, but was released on September 1st. Butler made the announcement himself through an eager Instagram post and his reunited Cowboys teammates flooded the comments welcoming him back.
